The full title should have been : "Pulsar Pureheart, the game, a modification for Victory Girl : the game" =p

A gift I promised long ago to :icondangerman-1973:
It's not completely without interest, though. I am planning to obtain mutual gain for the whole project from his reputation of " anime superheroine lover guy".

Objective is getting more players interested in superheroine stuff for critics and feedback.

I did the beta testing now, but some mistakes (typos or forgot to change a line of text/picture) might still be here. Please tell if you find any.

It's basically the same game than Victory Girl for 80% of it

If you are the patient type, comparison with the last Victory Girl release could help me improve the whole thing, here are the differences :

- Pulsar's sprite is slightly bigger, but her hitbox (vulnerable area) is about the same : is it confusing, or does it help the player by making him overestimate his vulnerable zone?

- Enemies are completely differently spread. Pulsar encounters more different enemies types quicker than Victory Girl, but the game's difficulty should be about the same. Is it better that way or not?

- Rather than having several rankings for each difficulty, you have only one, and difficulty modify how much a kill earns points.
Playing hard is therefore better for highscores.

- Bosses didn't change at all.

Once again, downloading the exe version rather than playing online is really advised. Lag might cause bugs.

But I am more and more considering the possibility of converting the Victory Girl game engine to ActionScript 3.0, which might make it run correctly in browser.
But doing that would probably take something like a month at least... So I'll see if I do it.
Anyway, for now, please take the exe to fully enjoy the experience!

The music is great.

The fact that you have to use the mouse to aim and arrows to fly can make it weird when you're using a laptop

Indeed it does.
But having a mouse aim mechanic was something I wanted to try to have the game feel slightly different from a classic shooter... so yeah.

In this multimedia era, it's really hard to please everyone and every platform. Mobile phones make the matter even worse. XD

I was hoping you weren't trying to make this for every device anyway, especially once I learned how you have to use the insert key to advance the text and have to have a mouse. Trying to make a game work for everyone on the internet is too much work for someone to be expected to do. I say if you're going to make a game for mobile phones, it should be made specially for mobile phones.

You did a good thing trying to make it different from a classic shooter with the melting and the mouse. I challenge the rules to make my art different also, knowing that some people might have a hard time with it as a consequence.
