TF2 Medic Stamp by HyaKkiDouR4n TF2 Medic Stamp by HyaKkiDouR4n
We continue this TF2 filler week (more info in my journal) with the Medic stamp.

Even if it's nowhere officially said the medic is a guy who was somehow connected to the nazi regime, everyone easily came to the conclusion : he is german, a "war criminal", and team fortress 2 takes places just after WW2, as the soldier's bio or visual style implies.
Medic is probably inspired by all the scientists who left Germany during or after the war to start their life anew, or were captured by americans like Werner von Braun.

Since the Medic is kinda crazy, the only reasonible explanation for his departure is that nazis may be crazy, but they are not crazy the same way our dear Medic is =p

For those who care about my petty little life, Medic is actually my favourite class, so I don't mean the ex-nazi joke as something offensive for either the Medic character or anyone : it's just how Valve's character was designed.

Team fortress 2 belongs to Valve, a company that makes games where you blow shit up, but where people still open history books sometimes =p

I don't think he was ever a Nazi, but I do believe (and have written a fanfiction) about what I believe it was like for him growing up in Germany during that time. He couldn't have been more than a child.

Medic is my favourite class too! ;)

But Valve had confirmed that medic was not a Nazi.

Actually, Valve officially said that even though he was from the right location & time period, the medic was never a Nazi. Just figure I'd point that out.

What about Dr. Richtofen? He's a nazi, and he's pretty insane. (I'm not going to freak out about the whole nazi thing. But I DO NOT support the idea at all.)

From what Valve has said, TF2 takes place in the late fifties, early sixties-- the James Bond era.
Soldier tried to enlist in WW2 when he was 14, and promptly failed every psyche exam the US army used during their HIGHEST time of recruitment.
Nevertheless, he traveled there himself and waged a one-man war against the Nazi's, earning 14 medals (which he designed and built himjself) He then stopped killing nazi's and returned home when he got word that the war had ended-- in 1945...

Medic left Germany for unknown reasons after he crashed the Prime Minister's wedding and stole the catering van. That's how he got Archimedes.

That bit of nerdiness out of the way.

This was awesome! Thanks!

Sure Valve stated it but only to avoid pointing out the painfully obvious. He was either a plain Combat medic in the German Wehrmacht or just a sinister scientist working for the SS as most doctors of the time.

You again? That's dedication.
I already said it, but I side with you. I really believe Valve contradicted their original idea because politically correct people started bothering them about the fact that playing an ex-nazi was not right.

But I guess I don't have to type it again, you're probably attempting to debate the other guys here. XD

Nah its cool. And yeah, but Medic is possibly one of the funnest classes to play as,with one of the most dark backstories.

They say he isn't a former Nazi thankfully.
