IMPORTANT : The game will probably be extremely slow in your browser, unless your computer is some kind of war machine.
I suggest you try the .exe version, which runs much more smootly and can be found here : [link]

Also since I am using a random web hosting, the link might get dead. Please tell me if it does.
The other option is to get a not-in-browser flash player and run the file in it after saving it on your hard drive. for that click "download" and then "file->save as" in your browser window, and then open the swf with flash player.


There it is, the beta version of the game.

It is not the final by pretty far yet. It lacks the intro and ending, and I know some things are missing such as:

- speed effects using the backgrounds on all stages exept the first
- Boss 4, 5 and 6 lack a few sound or visual effects when damaged (but the lifebar that exists now makes it less annoying than in my first demo).
- Boss 6 (second phase) should fire red fireballs in the future to match its color scheme.
- Difficulty, rythm of enemy spawning and regeneration will probably need adjustements.
- The game probably need various difficulty settings playing on the just mentionned parameters.
- Boss 4 looks very weird without the ground, which is the moving background that will be added later.
- Sound variety may increase.
- The final boss needs a special music I havent found yet.
- Scores aren't submitted anywhere yet despite what the text says.

It lacks all this, but you can do all six stages, and meet and defeat all six bosses.

The point is now, what the game needs the most is testing, testing and testing again, and I am a little tired of coding a few lines and test the game all over again to see what it changed. Because this game is pretty long and worth about 45 min of gameplay to go through!

I would like to focus more on the most funny part which are the intro and ending for a while, and count on the power of numbers to do the testing.
Please try out this version and give back any feedback you can, even on the minor details.
I'll go back to coding in about two weeks, and I'll then try to consider your remarks and critics. Please also report any bug you see. It really helps.
Also, if you want to test seriously, PLEASE USE THE EXE VERSION OR PLAY THE FLASH OUT THE BROWSER .

I put the game on this page mostly to grab some curious, and also to show my game to sponsors to see if it is eligible for a little ad that would show when launching the game.
This would allow me to make a few bucks out of this huge piece of work, while remaining free on your end.

Also, for those who wonder, the ice breath is meant to be much more powerful than the heat vision. But freezing the enemies don't give you points, only exploding them with heat vision do.
This serve the purpose of making the game difficulty adjustable : you want an easy run to reach the end easy? Then just spam the freezing breath.
You want a challenge? Then only use it when absolutely necessary (which means against the bosses).
This is also a way to show my fandom for the ice breath, which is probably one of the best superpowers ever imagined. :D

Question yourself for true learning.

- Heat vision the 4 little metal rectangles on the head. Careful, they regenerate if you're not quick enough.
- Freeze breath the part which is revealed then.
- Heat vision the lens where the energy balls spawn. It's life will go down.
- Once he puts himself together and regenerates everything, repeat the process.

If you heat vision the lens well, 3 times should be good to kill him.

What rectangles? I just spent 5 minutes blasting at the thing and nothing happened. Are you sure you didn't forget to make it vulnerable. That boss had the same issue during the demo.

"An Hell Closer than Heaven". I know a Dutchman that makes that 'an' mistake. :P

Either freeze-breath's radius or power should be reduced, or you should introduce incremental difficulty settings; yup.


Also, I believe my humble 4-year-old laptop can be classed as a war machine now. Nothing else to report/say, I'll find the time to go beyond level 2 when I've finished my current drawings...
